In an innovative approach aimed at promoting local crafts and enriching the tourist experience, the Ministry of Crafts and the Partnership for Progress Agency have launched an ambitious project. The latter consists of developing circuits dedicated to crafts, thus facilitating the discovery by visitors of the 4,400 points of sale run by local artisans. In total, 23 kilometers of route have been mapped out, divided into five distinct circuits, four of which are nestled in the heart of the old town. This initiative offers tourists the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of traditional crafts, while exploring the city's emblematic historical sites. An Immersion in Cultural and Artisanal Heritage The designed circuits will allow visitors to discover not only the authentic artisanal creations, but also to familiarize themselves with the rich historical heritage of the city. By strolling through the squares, the foundouks (caravanserais), the tanneries, the walls, the historic gates and the Mellah (former Jewish quarter), tourists will be able to appreciate the diversity and cultural richness of the place. The route of each circuit will be clearly indicated by 186 orientation signs, set up and maintained by the city, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience.
